Our Training Brought to You - Technical Assistance Training

Effective January 2014, the highly successful AMBER Alert Training and Technical Assistance Program will no longer deliver training on a regional basis. We are exited to offer a dynamic new training delivery system which allows all course programs included on the Available Courses Page to be hosted by local, regional, state and tribal law enforcement training academies, and agencies or organizations.
Through these partnerships, training academies and agencies will host one or more of the training programs (or requestors may select the "build-a-course" option).

What will not change is the caliber and quality of training programs and instructors offered to law enforcement agencies, public safety agencies and non-profit organizations. Our mission remains the same: to safely recover missing, endangered, or abducted children through the coordinated efforts of law enforcement, media, transportation, and other partners by using training and technology to enhance response capacities and capabilities and increase public participation.

We encourage you to collaborate with your law enforcement, public safety, non-profit partners to identify your training needs and to bring training to your community. Direct cost of the training delivery (instructors expenses, training material and logistics support) remain the responsibility of the AMBER Alert Training and Technical Assistance Program. Hosting agencies or organizations will be requested to assist in marketing and outreach, providing an appropriate venue, and on-site coordination.

Training When and Where You Need it - Distance and Blended Learning

Distance Learning

Additionally, AMBER Alert supports distance learning approaches to designing and delivering training programs and resources. Online courses, as well as blended learning approaches which support participants' ability to conduct pre- and post-training event work, enhance the learning experience for all involved and facilitate enhanced ability to be part of these important training programs during times where stressed budgets and limited resources make it difficult to travel to multi-day onsite training programs. Learn more about out distance and blended learning program and options by visiting the Distance Learning Area of this site.
